The scrubbie has two sides: one is rough and bristly, for scrubbing dishes, and the other is sturdy but soft and comfortable for your hand. The softer side is red speckled with white, and the rough side is solid red.
Strong enough to get the job done, but won't scratch teflon coating, plastic, or delicate china. It's about 4" in diameter, and has a handy hanging loop for drip drying. It will keep its good looks for many months, and won't get smelly the way sponges do.
Best of all, it's made from 100% recycled materials: the rougher side is crocheted from recycled nylon nets (the kind that fruits and veggies are packaged in at the grocery store), and the softer side is crocheted from trimmings of nylon knit fabric. Yes, it takes longer to work with these than with new materials, but it gives another life to what otherwise would go to the landfill. So it not only keeps your dishes clean, it helps keep the Earth clean too.
Note: the scrubbie you will be getting is not the exact same one as the one in the photos, but it is the same color and style.
