Sorry, this item sold. You may also like:
It includes two rubber mats (each approximately 14.25 inches across) and two red wooden sticks you place upright, one in the center of each mat. The photos only show one stick, but I have since found another (though it is not an exact match -- it's about 3 inches taller than the one in the photos, and a bit thinner). Also included, of course, are the horseshoes -- 2 red and 2 black, made of hard rubber.
The original box is also included, and adds to the fun with its great vintage graphics. The box has seen quite a lot of wear -- corners are torn, sides flop down, and a previous owner (evidently named "Melissa", judging by the writing on the box) has written all over the yellow top with black crayon, but the box is quite charming.
I have gently wiped off the mats and horseshoes, but if you plan to play this inside I recommend giving them a good soak in the bathtub first, as they are still a bit grimy.
I estimate this horseshoe game set to be from the 1950s to 1960s, based on the graphics on the box and the fact that it was sold at the old "Two Guys" hardware store -- for $3.59, according to the price tag! The game may even be a bit older.
Because this game is so heavy, it makes sense to ship it only domestically. The shipping price is on the high side because of the weight -- however, if I find that it costs me less to ship than the price I have quoted, I will refund the difference to the buyer. If an international buyer wants to purchase this horseshoe set please convo me regarding shipping cost, but please be aware that it will likely be very expensive to ship.
