Well this decadent almond espresso ganache dessert roll recipe satisfies all of those and more! I came up with this recipe for the 2009 Pilsbury Bake-Off and scrambled to test it out. I made it a couple times before I finally submitted the recipe. My first taste testers were three etsians I chose from one of the teams I was on. I tried the decadent almond espresso ganache dessert roll recipe again making a slight ingredient substitution to see how it tasted. This time foisting the tasting duties onto the tech and worship teams at my church, one weekend I was doing lights. They practically inhaled it in seconds! They all loved it!
One of the guys said it was deadly.
After submitting the decadent almond espresso ganache dessert roll recipe I had to wait until the summer to see if it was one of the 20 recipes chosen to compete for a spot in the contest to go to Florida in April, 2010. I never got the email, so I waited until September, thinking I would get a call. My phone never rang.

This is what my taste testers have said about it:
Thanks so much for sharing your experiment! It was a big hit here! My husband ate most of it. LOL! I go to bed before he does usually and he scarfed down a bunch after I went to sleep. He saved me some. Well, I was bad, because we didn't really follow instructions. We ate it right out of the box. I don't think I'd like it warm, unless it was fresh out of the oven. Of course then it would be good. But I think room temp. or cold is the way to go with that.
subject of the convo: Oh My Gosh!!!
It is heavenly! It is superb! It is perfect! I could easily eat the whole thing all at once. I love the flavor! I do not like ultra sweet things and the bittersweetness of this is perfect! Ohhh! I just ate a couple bites more... I think it's just perfect. I love the almonds in there!
Well Amy, It is decadent and wonderful and it looks fabulous, too! Thank you SO MUCH for this! It is wonderful and I am going to eat every last crumb. Slowly and happily.
It was scrumptious! Rich and creamy, yet not too sweet. I loved the dark chocolate and nuts. I also suggested freezing it and then cutting it into bite size cubes. One small piece goes a long way!
Now, isn't that enough to convince you to buy the recipe and make it yourself?
