Beautifully carved shell cameo from the Victorian era circa 1900 features a classically styled Demeter (Roman) or Ceres (Greek) Goddess of fertility, as shown by the sheaf of wheat in her hair and on her shoulder. This lovely cameo is encased in a 10K yellow gold bezel and the frame is accented by rope edging and engraving. There is a hidden bale that swivels to allow use as a pendant, and an older safety clasp that is marked 10K. The pin stem closes securely, although there is a bend in the stem. No other flaws are noted. Measures about 1 3/8" x 1 5/8" (30 mm x 35mm). Please email with any questions, and thanks for visiting my shop!
