This little quilt measures approximately 17"w x 12"h. Each of the letters measures about 1-1/2"h. and the spider's body is about 1-1/2"h., with legs - about 3"w. The ribbon is 1/4" grosgrain - a lovely sherbet green with white polka dots - my favorite!
The spider is needlefelted of black wool felt, and lime and white for the eyes. Needlefelting "appliques" the felt onto a fabric, but instead of being just on the surface, you use special needles to penetrate the fibers so they become part of the underlying fabric. It's really fun to do also!
The colors in this quilt are primarily black, lime, orange sherbet, purple and creme - all wonderful Halloween colors.
There are 2 little ribbon tabs for easy hanging, both over 1" long, so you've got plenty of room to run a hanger through it. You can use clothespins, or run a dowel, or put it on a yard hanger, such as I did in the pictures. Doesn't it just bring out the colors next to the leaves of the Maple tree?
The back is an orange sherbet color with black polka dots.
