Named after the winner of the Melbourne Cup in 1988, this luxurious hand-made fascinator is a lucky charm for a day at the races or special occasion. Each rosette is hand-stitched from various widths of thick satin ribbon and layered with tulle and ostrich feathers to create a unique and eye-catching piece.
It closes with a very secure 2"/5 cm long squeeze-and-clamp styled hair clip that will be sure to keep the fascinator in its place all afternoon and evening.
The rosette cluster measures 8 cm in diameter; the feathers and tulle extend 4-6 cm further for a total of 16-18 cm diameter.
I have crafted this hair clip to the best of my abilities with attention to every stitch and have made it as durable as I could, so it should last a good many costumed occasions.
This is an original design handmade by Christine Rice for Hexotica in Melbourne, AUSTRALIA.
