Aquatint etchings plates have a very delicate surface-inking and printing the plate wears down the surface. Editions are small and more valuable than other techniques.
I use a traditional printing technique-using acid on a metal plate to create the various shades from white to black. Then I ink the plate, and carefully wipe away the extra ink. I print this plate on a hand pulled printing press on high quality archival paper. After the paper and ink dry--about 1 week+, the print is ready for you to buy! This is a technique used by great artists from the time of the Renaissance-still in use today. My prints are not mechanically or photographically reproduced-they are real artist made artwork!
I have been printing for 20+ years as a professional artist. My work has been shown, sold and collected in the U.S. and Great Britain. My prints are in private and museum collections.
