These napkins look good and feel good. They are simple, but eye catching. They are very absorbent and protective. Elegant enough for special dinners, but durable enough to use every day.

I am always happy to send fabric samples so that you can compare colors. Larger quantities are available. Convo me and I will be happy to create a special order for you.

I began making these napkins when I was approached by a wedding planner who was interested in placing an order for 300 napkins. She wanted 150 white napkins and 150 cream napkins, as well as underlay and overlay tablecloths for 23 tables. During my presentation to the wedding planner, I showed her several samples of my handmade napkins in sizes from 18" to 22" with borders ranging from 1" to 2", and she immediately chose the 22" with 2" mitered border. I liked these napkins so much, I made some for myself and began making them in different colors and fabrics.

One of my clients, who wanted to be more eco-conscious, bought two dozen of my napkins to use every day instead of paper towels. She called me excited to say there is no need to iron them if she folds them right out of the dryer when they are still warm.

I recommend Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent for removing food stains from my linens. Seventh Generation has easily removed everything from wine stains, oil and grease, even BBQ sauce.

As a seamstress, I hate to waste fabric, and one reason why I chose to make these napkins is that there is no wasted fabric. The fabric I use is 54" wide. I start with a 27" square fabric that ultimately becomes the finished 22" napkin. The fabric that I use is 54" wide. I get two 27" squares out of that, so the selvage is all that is leftover. I love that!
