This bowl was thrown on the wheel and altered by impressing textures into the clay. The ridges in the texture remind me of the folds and deep pockets of a mountain. A light green glaze was then brushed into the textured areas. The variations come from the reactions of the clay slip, wood ash, and soda during the soda firing process.

Interior glaze: white/light gray glossy shino glaze, durable food surface
Exterior: Light Sage green textured area,
other areas are varied earth tones of reds, browns, and whites
