The focal piece is an absolutely stunning piece of aquarmarine. It is a rich, pale blue. It seems to have a glow of pink deep at its heart, when held in certain light. It is in a very unusual three-sided pyramid cut. It is quite large- it is almost 3/4" tall, and is 1/2" across.
I have chosen to set this special gem in a highly polished sterling silver bezel. The base of the bezel mimics the three-sided shape of the stone.
The band is textured in a minute floral pattern. I texture this sterling silver myself, using a rolling mill and embossed brass plates.
This ring is sized at a 6 1/4. However, your finger should be a bit smaller than this, as this is a 3/8" wide band. When you choose a wide-banded ring, you need to get it a bit larger to ensure a comfortable fit on your finger.
The ring was tumbled in my rock tumbler for a few hours prior to setting the stone- this hardens the metal and provides a glossy finish.
