This sculpture will support any flat bottom object placed on top. I use it to display my hand blown glass flat balloons. The first photo shows the “Green Clunker” holding a recently sold flat balloon, PLEASE NOTE: the price of the “Green Clunker” does not include a balloon, they are sold separately. If you want a balloon please order them separately. I will also ship them separately. I have included photos of all angles.

It weighs about 8 pounds. Height 12", top width 3", bottom width 5".

I have been making these sculptures for a few years now but this is the first one I have listed for sale on Etsy. I hope you like it as well as I do. This design is very special to me, first because it reminds me of the cast bronze stand my mother purchased in Japan in the 1950’s that I now own and treasure. That stand is also shown on my shop banner supporting a red balloon. Secondly, it is important to me because I am able to recycle metal car parts before they end up in a landfill.

This “Green Clunker” sculpture consists of recycled metal car parts specifically selected for their symmetry after which I weld them together. I allow the piece to rust naturally then apply a thin layer of lacquer. The lacquer will eventually rust away unless you reapply. If this sculpture is left outside it will again begin to rust. I prefer the environment to take over and create further natural rusting. However, you can spray the piece with lacquer once a year or leave it alone and let nature do its thing.
