-Master Kulgan from Magician: Apprentice
The perfect pipe for anyone who enjoys reading about dragons and magic. This freehand style of pipe is carved to resemble the bottom portion of a freshly emptied egg. It has a bent stem so despite being a fairly hefty pipe, it can be held easily if the smoker likes to clench. There are some small surface flaws that add to the broken egg appearance, which do not run into the tobacco chamber. Beautiful grain, radiating from a burst on the back, bottom side of the pipe. The tight tiger strip patterns transition to bird's eye grain on the sides and front of the Dragon's Egg.
Plateau briar, the outer layer of the burl, which has been aged 20+ years. The pipe was stained with a royal blue which is very dark but striking in direct light. The plateau on the rim of the pipe was topped with black, and then lightly buffed so a hint of the blue comes through. Polished very smooth, and finished with a coat of carnauba wax for shine.
