I threw this one on the electric wheel then manually drilled holes and put handles on at the leather hard stage. It was thrown with cone 10 high fire dark brown clay (called black mountain).
After it was bisque fired, I glazed it with a bamboo on the bottom and a victorian green on the top. The dark brown clay shows through nicely with both these glazes.
The piece was glaze fired in a reduction kiln.
You will LOVE this berry bowl. During the glaze firing a small blemish occurred on the side. I've repaired the piece, but there is a tiny matte spot from the grinding. As this is hand made and things do occur out of my control, I've reduced the price by a few dollars.
This berry bowl is approx. 6" diameter, 4" tall.
thanks for looking!
