At the end of Summer, Nedda puts away her Shovel, and her other Garden tools. She will patiently wait until January for the next wave of Seed Catalogs to arrive, and will pour over them with the intensity that one would pay a great novel. She will lie in the Bath Tub and read the desciptions of the flowers aloud to her daughter and dream of the best garden ever. Some years are better than the previous ones. She always looks forward in participating in a beginning and an end.
Nedda is 12 inches tall. her face is painted and her nose is needle sculpted. she has been coffee dyed, and baked. her hair is sisal sent from my Friend Debra at Monniebean, who has an excellent folkart shop here on Etsy. her apron is a piece of vintage linen. She will arrive with a garden shovel that is not pictures here.
