This pouch is made from 1/4" galvanized steel rings, which were handcrafted by me from 17 gauge wire. The top is closed with a brown leather cord and black plastic cord stopper. It is a smaller version of my large dice pouch. It holds up to two 7-piece dice sets, as pictured here.
Many chainmail artisans use other metals like aluminum, but I prefer galvanized steel as it has a nice heft to it, which makes it feel more like actual chainmail would. Another nice benefit is that steel is much stronger than aluminum. It's also nice to be able to go, "Hey, this is real steel, baby!"
Of course, you can also use this pouch for anything you can think of! Say, a pouch for the Renaissance Faire to carry your wallet, camera, cell phone, or whatever else you may need. However, if you are carrying anything delicate in the pouch, you might want to line it first. Since I hand-make all of my rings, there is a possibility that they could scratch something that's delicate.
