Plantain ~ a common 'weed' and valuable gift from Nature ~ is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, astringent, and vulnerary (or wound-healing) and is ideal for skin inflammations, insect bites, poison ivy, hemorrhoids, wounds, boils, blisters, diaper rash, dermatitis, minor cuts & scrapes. Plaintain has even shown effectiveness in topical infections such as MRSA. It's one of the best vulneraries (wound-healers) we are gifted with.
Violet leaf & flower lend a wonderfully demulcent quality, soothing inflammation of any tissue, including breast tissue or other internally produced inflammation. The addition of violet also makes this wonderful for tender tissues that need extra care. A touch of tea tree oil also adds anti-fungal activity.
