Summertime Mosaic

This mosaic was another challenge piece. We were to make something pertaining to "Summer." When I think of summer, some of the things that come to mind is people outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Living by Lake Michigan, we always saw boaters, people having picnics, kids riding bicycles, dogs, etc.

I used a lot of different things in this mosaic. Most of the background is from plates I cut up. The building was an incense burner. The boat was from a broken stained glass piece. I added a wood fence and flower pots with clay flowers in them. I also used a metal bicycle and a little dog. You can see how this mosaic came to be by going to;

This mosaic measures 24 x 8.5". I had a metal frame put around it. I wanted something to finish it off, but not take away from the mosaic.

If shipping is less than I quote, I will refund the difference. I won't know exactly how much it will cost till I know what zip code it is going to.
