Okay, it really isn't a slide rule, but it's an abstraction of one. I've always loved math, and although I didn't use a slide rule in school (thankfully, calculators were invented!), I thought it would be fun to create something that resembles a slide rule using beads.
For this necklace, I chose matte metallic dark gold beads for the base and galvanized silver beads for the marks on the "rule" and the slide. The silver tube actually slides on the longer piece, so you can wear it in the center, a little off center, or you can even remove it and wear each of the peyote tubes singly!
