If you are a fellow potter, you may have noticed a casserole like this on the cover of "Clay Times" magazine last year. I was flattered to have been contacted by the magazine and tickled that they liked the piece enough to use it as a cover piece.

I've thrown this 2 quart casserole on my potter's wheel using porcelain clay. The clay and the glaze both make for food safe surfaces. It is also microwavable and oven safe.

The leaf impressions I created by making a porcelain leaf stamp and then bisque firing that stamp so that it would be rigid enough to push into the soft clay of the just-thrown bowl.

The acorn knobs were also thrown on my potter's wheel and the textured "cap" was simple cut in by hand.

SHIPPING IS INCLUDED IN THE LISTED PRICE.

Thanks for giving my page a look!
