Oh I love this saying "Keep Calm and Carry On," which was a motto on a poster initially produced in 1939 during the beginning of World War II. It was intended as a "last case scenario" to be used only should the Nazis succeed in invading Great Britain, in order to stiffen resolve. Two-and-a-half million copies were printed, although the poster was distributed only in limited numbers.

Can't you just hear Winston Churchill's voice broadcasting that statement to England over the radio? I can't imagine how horrible it must have been to live through such turmoil. But those words.... they remind me that I can press on through hard times.

This necklace is a scaled down version of my Queen Mum necklace. I made it with a brass tag that I hand stamped, aged and polished. I added Czech glass flower beads and a crown charm. These trinkets hang from a toggle clasp on a 26 inch nickel free aged brass chain.
