Who's Robert G. Ingersoll?
A Civil War veteran, Robert G. Ingersoll went on to become one of America's great speakers and is highly associated with freethought. Ingersoll brushed shoulders with other Famous Seniors as well. Ingersoll's friend Walt Whitman considered Ingersoll the greatest orator of his time.
This print features Colonel Ingersoll in bold black set against a dirty loose leaf paper styled background. Ingersoll's words remind us that while education has its place there is no substitute for common sense ;)
