So let me introduce you to Superman.... on the surface, he is a sturdy, dependable, average kinda guy. Grey, dark, handsome - but in a classic way. But Famous Dave Walters has given us a peek into superman's soul with his amazing paint technique. Emblazoned across the front cover is a stunning emblem of gold and turquoise. Dave's design for Superman's emblem was inspired by a turn of the century steam engine, and rendered by hand (no decals here) using high quality sign paint, varnishes, and 24 K gold leaf. On the sand cast, rough grey finish of the typewriter the emblem pops right off the surface.
(I saw pictures of this before picking it up in person and let me tell you, the pictures don't do the artwork justice).
The specs on the typewriter: I cannot find any information on the manufacturer of the typewriter nor can I find a serial number on it. It is as mum as Clark Kent rgarding its true identity. The typewriter is in good working condition with some wear to the piece overall. Each key works properly and the bell dings, but I can see some minor corrosion starting on the metal. There is some wear on the keys and some chipped paint on the typewriter.
Very heavy item will ship carefully packaged via FedEx with tracking and insurance.
