Winter Japanese Flower Bead

From tangiblelight

This bead was inspired by some pottery I found in a store in Japantown in San Francisco. It is a dark cobalt blue, with a layer of enamel which creates a texture to the surface. The flowers are raised slightly from the surface, making a bead that is delightful to touch.

It measures 19mm across and the hole runs top to bottom. The hole size is 1.5mm. It is gently curved on the front and back and is about 9mm deep.

All of my beads are made in my home studio, located in Woodland Hills, California. They are made from American and European glass and are kiln annealed.
