This beautiful vintage tulle toque hat is by the famed Luci Puci, who was turning out 900 hats a day for 14 labels in her heyday. The hat is made of felt and wrapped in a lovely light brown tulle (with a slightly reddish tint). It is decorated (and the tulle is held in place) with loops of black sequins and beads. The labels read Luci Puci and French Room, Stix, Baer & Fuller (a now defunct department store in St. Louis). The hat dates from the 1950s or 1960s.
The hat is in excellent condition. The tulle is very soft and undamaged, and no sequins or beads are missing. The felt has no holes or blemishes.
