The yarn used to make this cowl is a superfine alpaca and cotton blend. You can see some white alpaca fibers blended throughout the yarn. Alpaca fiber is slightly different than sheep's wool. It does not feel prickly to the touch, which makes it a nice fiber to wear close to the skin.

The piece does have one seam, and should be washed by hand. I will include care instructions with the package.
