Use a piece of paper to measure the area where you would like the cuff to sit. Then use a ruler to measure the piece of paper. Now add a 1/2 inch to the measurement. Depending on how you would like it to fit you can add up to an inch. The cuff will be to snug if you do not add the 1/2 inch.
Birch bark is durable but not indestructible. The bark is naturally water resistant but long periods of exposure are not recommended due to the special coating that is applied. When my pieces are handled and stored with care and grace they will be long lasting.
The magnetic clasp is strong! If you slide the magnets apart instead of pulling you will find it much easier to put on and take off. This will create less strain on the clasp and the cuff.
