This ceramic clock was handbuilt, textured and glazed with Waterlily glaze which has green undertones set off by the lighter green/blue accents. The impressed textures catch the lighter blue glaze which creates a dramatic look.
The clay face was fired in my kiln after it was textured, altered and hand glazed. The details were well thought out to help you tell time without numbers. The crossbars are situated at the 12, 3,6,and 9 positions so there is no need for numbers to clutter the clean design. The raised wall is also textured to give it visual interest.
The clockworks is run with an AA battery (not provided)and is light enough to hang from a single nail or screw.
The clock face has a 8 inch diameter with a wall around the rim of the clock that stands less than an inch from the base.
