Grisaille is a painted enamel technique which involves 4 to six layers of semi transparent white china paint (each fired separately) on two layers of a darker colour, in this case dark brown.
This is one of a series of un-bezelled smaller grisailles, offered for a lower price. It is 1" square and comes with your choice of 18" sterling silver chain or the gold fill chain shown in the photos.
