A very comfortable and easy to wear little ring, consisting of reclaimed vintage shortbread tin and textured copper. The tin is a concave disc nestled in a copper concave 'cup' and held in place by a wire rivet, whilst the copper wire band is soldered into the copper cup. The underside of the ring has a subtle star embossed texture, whilst the band has been decorated by blows from my hammer. The copper has been heat treated to achieve rich patina tones. The circle is 15mm (just over half an inch) diameter.
There is the added benefit of this ring being a comfortable adjustable fit...open it up bigger for your finger by prising apart carefully, or gently but firmly squeeze the opening tighter for a smaller fit. Whatever the size, keep it that size, the metal becomes work hardened and doesn't want to keep changing it's mind. It will happily become any size between a UK "I" and"R".
