A stained glass beach scene with natural seashells embedded in it. We enjoy walking the beaches and picking up seashells. Like little treasures they are reminders of that place where we can get away from it all for a little while. A small shell may even still have it's barnacles on it if you look closely for the details! Looking out from the shore the water will be different shades of blues and greens the further out you look until the deep blue waters of the horizon takeover. Perhaps you have been lucky enough to see an island seemingly floating on the horizon it's palm trees barely visible against it's varying shades of brown & white sands. And now you can bring the beach inside and re-live the experience.

The photos don't even come close to the rich colors of this piece! Your monitor may display colors differently than the actual panel and we have done our best to accurately describe them as they appear. The photos here were taken on an overcast morning and will be re-taken as soon as the sun shines brightly. But don't wait this piece can not be re-created at this price and it won't last long here!

We created this piece because we all love the beach, the shore, the islands and the unique atmosphere each contains. Using varying shades of white glass some with brown streaks, some with opalescent backside the sand shimmers in the light. The seashells are natural shells actually embedding in the lead lines by wrapping them with the thinnest copper foil the soldering them in, they are very secure nestled in the sand. As the waves crest on the beach they are foamy so used a frosty streaked light blue glass to illustrate this in a lifelike fashion. As the water gets deeper the colors of the glass range from a medium blue, then a teal with opalescent backing, then deep blue for the depths. On the horizon there is an island barely visible accented by the green of swaying palms. The sky is a beautiful light blue streaked with wisps of passing cloud sparkling with the lightest touch of rainbow opalescent in the light.

This piece was fun to create and it did take a lot longer to create than expected but; that's art and the end result is worth it! There are 45 pieces of glass in the panel, and 3 seashells. The panel is framed in zinc for sturdiness and durability with two loops soldered to the top for display. The zinc frame was primed and painted using high quality materials. The piece has been hand waxed to protect the finish. Overall including the frame this panel measures approximately 11 3/8" wide by 10" high. Created using the Tiffany method where each piece of glass is hand cut, hand sized and fitted, wrapped in copper foil and then soldered into the design. This is an original design created in our studio.

As a gift for that special someone or for yourself this piece reminds us of the beaches where we can get away form it all for even a short time. Those moments are to be treasured and remembered.
