This is a antiqued brass cockroach adorned with a silver-tone watch part piece. The cockroach hangs from a gun-metal chain with silver-tone accents at the sides and bottom. The cockroach measures approximately 2 inches by 1.5 inches. The chain measures approximately 18 inches and could be adjusted to be shorter. This item comes gift-boxed, making it an excellent present. I have noted the colors of each metal part, because monitors vary, and I want to ensure that the piece is accurately presented. A splendid combination of mechanical and natural worlds mixed with a dash of Kafka and Dali.
I find inspiration in victorian ephemera, art nouveau and art deco, and the fantastical worlds of science fiction such as those portrayed by H.G. Wells and Jules Verne.
