I filled this pool with an array of gorgeous crystals. There is a big point of luscious sea blue aqua aura quartz. This quartz is the end result of the heated fusion of gold dust and quartz. The resulting blue is iridescent. I have also included a very angular point of amethyst with is lined in geometric striations. Also put into the mix is a big terminating point of clear quartz. I placed in a few smaller points to fill out the collection.
All of these blue, purple, and clear quartz crystals are held captive by tinted pale violet polyester resin. I custom tinted this resin in my studio so it would best compliment the crystals.
The band of this ring is made of sterling silver which I have forged with my ball peen hammer to create an interesting faceted texture. The pool sits up high on the band, and will float an ethereal 1/4" from your finger.
The ring was hand-polished to a rich glow, and was then tumbled in my rock tumbler for a few hours. This process hardens the metal and creates a more durable finish.
This ring is a one of a kind creation. Due to its unique keyhole band shape, it will fit comfortably on fingers from a size 9 to a 10. I can make it slightly larger or slightly smaller.
