I must admit that I have an obsession with laurel right now - so much history and symbology behind a beautiful little plant!

This is a brand new design. I'm so thrilled with the outcome, especially the little details such as the outside curved pockets (which are as deep laurel stem line) and the contrasting color peeking out in the pocket area.

Handbag features gorgeous solid deep blue cotton, laurel leaf applique, two curved outside pockets (4.5" deep), three small inside pockets (great for phone/wallet), closes with a magnetic snap, lined with cotton solids, all reinforced, double-seamed for durability, and is completely one of a kind.

Measures about 13" tall, 15" wide at top, 17" wide at round sides, with 20" straps.

A note on the embroidery: This is a technique I have been working with in which I use my regular manual sewing machine and special thread to embroider. While it's faster that hand embroidery, it requires the same steady hand and patience and has some very unique, one-of-a-kind attributes. I've top stitched in this method over the yellow leaf applique. The leaves may gently fray over time, lending character to the artwork.
