This exquisite gown is a princess fantasy! Convo me NOW to get your design started, I am only making a LIMITED number of gowns.
This listing is for a custom gown, in sizes 2-12, in your childs choice of princess colors!
A truly authentic Elizabethan gown, only the very upper classes could dress their darling so well.
Each of my dresses comes with three pieces:
A full drawstring underskirt with padded panniers
A lightly boned, hand cartridge-pleated gown with padded epaulettes
Period removable tie-on sleeves
In order to create the period silhouette on a toddler body, I have added many professional costume details. Instead of an uncomfortable and dangerous corset as renaissance girls would have worn, I have lightly boned the stomacher and added generous pannier pillows to visually narrow the waist.
The sleeves in this period are so tight my little one struggled to get her hand through! Rather than compromise design, use a crappy stretch fabric or battle a toddler, I have inserted an invisible zipper in the sleeve seam. Now they’re easy to put on, and snug as the Queens! The authentic ties allow the sleeves to be simply removed for a hot day at Faire, or interchanged for a whole different look next year!
I understand that a gown like this is an investment. The lace-up back allows it to expand up to 3 sizes and the shoulder has an extra inch to be let out. It’s also simple to order a new underskirt and sleeves in a larger size, for an affordable new look.
