This cork board has a stained glass mosaic which i have fused in my kiln. The lobster, wine glass and wine bottle have been double cut and fused in the kiln. The back ground has 2 colors of white, to give a table cloth effect. The lobster looks good enough to eat, right down to the droplets of water on his shell. With a 12x12 tile that is a chalk board. The shadowbox frame is approx. 20x24 and stained with an ebony stain. The wine corks have been cut down the middle to sit flush with the back board, and has a wire hanger on the back. I have used a champagne cork with a hole drilled just the right size for a piece of chalk. (look at the lower middle part of the chalk board)
I have recycled all the corks from family and friends, who have saved them for me, and of course i have added a few of my own.
The chalk board is very handy for shopping lists and appointment notes, and you can use push pins to hang notes on the corks.
