I just couldn't resist. I love this bracelet! Mostly because I love black and white, and this caterpillar bracelet is a celebration of those colors.
The base of this bracelet is woven using Japanese glass beads in matte bright white. After the base was created, I added hundreds of fringes to the top of the bracelet. The fringes alternate between black and white, so it's a very even mixture of the two colors. There are fringes that are made from white beads, tipped with a black triangle bead and another white bead; and these alternate with fringes that are made from black beads, tipped with a white triangle bead and another black bead! Whew!
Each of the fringes is just over 1/2" long, making the bracelet incredibly lush and thick. This piece, because it was created from glass beads, weighs more than 2 ounces. It's still very comfortable to wear, and the texture is unbelievable. People will stop you to ask if they can touch it!
