A Vintage Du Barry Suitcase upcycled and repurposed into a one of a kind jewelry display box.
5 Salvaged Hooks are screwed into the deep side of the suitcase and serve beautifully for necklaces.
Underneath the hooks is a map of the Caribbean taken from a vintage atlas.
On the bottom ledge is a ring tree made of a very strong tree branch I rescued on one of my many outdoor adventure. I painted it white and screwed it securely into the bottom of the case.
On the opening side there is a bout of lace perfect for displaying earring and brooches.
This fabulous creation also has a mirror I salvaged from a thrift store and wine corks securely screwed in to dangle bracelets/ necklaces. You can see the screws from the front but I have disguised them into the painting!
This case is even wired up so you can light up your collection and see it in all its glory! Standard lamp switch located right on top, camouflaged with beautiful white ribbon and materials. Comes with 25W chandelier bulb.
I covered the top area inside of the case with heavy duty tinfoil to ensure safety with the light. Please never leave light on unattended or on for long periods of time.
I have hand-painted a very darling Clematis in white acrylic on the front of the case where there is also an old porcelain flower knob salvaged from an old dresser, for easy opening and closing.
Complete with a key so you can lock up your valuables, this is truly one-of-a-kind and perfect!
This cabinet mounts easily on any wall 2 screws (Included) Just find a stud!
