A light amethyst briolette and two beautiful rice pearls flutter from a large dyed purple piece of turquoise wrapped in a large Vintaj filigree butterfly.
I wire-wrapped the Swarovski briolette with Vintaj brass wire ending with a sacred spiral. One of the pearls is pale lilac and the other is iridescent iris.
The pendant is hung on an 18 inch (45.72 cm) length of Vintaj chain that closes with a S-clasp. The pendant adds another 2 1/4 inches (5.715 cm) to the overall length.
The butterfly is was first allied with the faeries by Victorian Age artists who drew faeries with insects wings. They also personify people's souls and rebirth through long association with shamanistic and animistic practices and beliefs.
