These dies were custom made for my from a mitten pattern I submitted to Accucut. They fit perfectly in the Accucut GrandMark die cutting machine, their largest machine available. http:\/\/www.accucut.com\/GrandeMARKbr__Accessories-c135-p1,135.html?
Do you have a smaller Accucut die cutter? If so, they offer a trade in program, making the upgrade to the GrandMark affordable for a small in-home or cottage industry business. http:\/\/www.accucut.com\/stores\/5\/specials.cfm
I've written up the entire mitten making process in a concise, step-by-step tutorial with photos of each step. Find that here: http:\/\/fivegreenacres.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/07\/sweater-mitten-tutorial\/
There are 3 dies for sale here. (die cutting machine is not included, nor are die cuts) Each die includes the 3 pieces needed to make a pair of mittens in that given size. The sizes are Adult Large, Adult Medium, and Child 1-3yr. I chose to have dies made of these sizes because they were the most popular. The other sizes and their patterns are included in the tutorial. (that tutorial combined the Adult L & M into a hybrid size, to simplify)
Included with the dies are two corresponding cutting plastic sheets, which are necessary to cut with the Accucut.
One sheet measures 14 1\/2" x 19" and works with both the Adult L & M of the same size.
The second cutting plastic is 10 x 16, which corresponds to the Child 1-3 die of the same size.
One note - there is a slight pattern discrepancy with the thumb of the Adult L die. One thumb piece is about 1\/4" too wide, as you can see in the last photo. It's a minor discrepancy, easily fixed by trimming that piece when the seams are trimmed, so no additional steps are needed to fix it.

I've used these dies with much success; couldn't imagine making any number of mittens without them. My business has moved in another direction, so I no longer need the dies, though they've got a lifetime of use left in them.
