. . . .But it had to be perfect. . . . . There are a number of reproductions out there, but the lettering isn't always exact and it's usually only one sided. (No gold on the back of the ticket.
So I scanned the original ticket from the book on Willy Wonka, and then over a very long period of time, I cleaned up each exact letter individually in Photoshop. It was a laborious task, but I want my ticket to look just like the one from the movie. I think I succeeded pretty well.
And once I had a ticket from the first film, it seemed like it needed the companion ticket from Charlie And the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp. So I set about recreating this ticket as well. If you look at the pictures, you'll see that not only did I do the front and back of the ticket, but I also recreated the Willy Wonka Factory seal. It's graphically reproduced, NOT EMBOSSED. Not yet anyway. But it's as close as I could get it.
So if you loved the film or films or the book or Gene Wilder or Johnny Depp or all of the above, I offer you a chance to have two really wonderful reproductions of the Golden Tickets. Framed, they make a wonderful wonderful display.
