I took one look at this vintage box purse and knew it was destined for better things! to me it was a blank canvas, begging to be painted. So I set to work transforming the mundane into wearable art.
The purse began its life as a vintage wood purse, from perhaps the 1970s. It has one handle and a turn latch at the top. The goldtone metal is still in great condition.
The handbag measures approx. 10" across x 8 1/4" down x 3 1/4" deep.
The interior label states that it was made by "Simon" and styled by "Mister Ernest". The interior is a warm brown vinyl that is in perfect condition. there is a samll pocket inside, as well.
The two ladies that adorn each side of the bag are painted in artist's acrylics and sealed with several layers of clear varnish for durability
