This deer head is molded from a taxidermy form and hand cast in aluminum. The antlers are forged steel, copper, glass, and some highly manipulated found objects. Each deer will have their own unique set of antlers.
The pictures show two variations on the antlers; this listing is for one deer only.
Because of the extremely labor intensive processes involved, this spectacular piece of sculpture will take approximately 2 months to complete.

Shipping is a rough estimate; please contact before purchase to iron out shipping details. Also, if you live less than 8 hours from New Orleans, I will gladly arrange for delivery and installation at an additional cost.
The aluminum heads have a beautiful graphite polished finished to give a look of iron with the lightweight of aluminum. Both antlers bolt onto the head and are removable.
Heads are flush mounted to the wall with an extremely easy, stable, and invisible system. The entire piece is sealed with a lasting finish- museum wax for the head, gloss lacquered antlers.
Rough dimensions are 72" x 48" x 24".
Two of these deer heads were in the Louisiana Biennial, my solo show 'stigma and style', and have both been sold to art collectors.
