The glaze is a gorgeous fire engine red which is perfectly food safe, microwave and dishwasher safe. On the exterior of each bowl, I created a criss-cross pattern using black pottery stains. It reminds me of the scales on a koi fish.
The largest of the three bowls is 5" high x 8.5" across and holds around 10-12 cups; the middle bowl is 4.25" high x 7" across and will hold 4-6 cups; and the smallest bowl is 3.25" high x 5" across --perfect as a personal cereal, soup or ice cream bowl holding around 1.5 cups.
