This is a set of 4 blank note cards with 4 ivory envelopes. The cards measure 4 ¼ inches by 5 ½ inches each.
This image of a red wagon with a flowering plant on the deck in the woods is from a water color drawing by Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld and is printed on ivory, acid-free, smooth heavy stock. I print, cut and assemble each card individually; mounting the image on red cardstock and creating a liner from a lighter weight, smooth finish, ivory paper.
This sweet image was painted from life on the island of Martha’s Vineyard.
The artist who painted this beautiful image, Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld, is my mother. She was trained in oil painting and worked in that medium for many years. In 1984 she took a class in journaling with illustration from nature and began drawing and making watercolors. She always paints from life and often shows up early to various appointments so she can draw the scene out the car window. She is also inspired by the elegant shapes of fruits and vegetables, flowers of all kinds, and the vessels she has been collecting for years. Everyone loves giving her flowers as she is likely to make a painting of the bouquet!
We hope you enjoy the product of this very satisfying collaboration.
Note: the watermark will not appear on the actual cards
