This is a French journal from 1953 which details the designs available for applying monograms and other designs to items of personal or household linen.
There is a large alphabet for tablecloths and sheets, small alphabet for napkins or items such as nighties and also designs for collars, shirtfronts, table linen, etc.
The journal consists of one sheet measuring 18 1/2 x 13 inches when folded up but this opens out to 37 x 13 inches, then further to 37 x 26 inches.
A few tiny holes in the central fold and some browning here and there but, for its age, it is in good condition overall.
A lovely piece of social history for use in your art, for framing up or just as part of a collection.
Will be sent in a cardboard-backed envelope, folded in the smallest size detailed above.
Thank-you for looking.
