A lonely vintage button found a second career in my shop. The button was used to create a custom mold, and silver Precious Metal Clay (PMC) was placed in the mold, dried, filed, sanded, and fired in my kiln for two hours. The binder and water were burned off and a strong, sparkling beauty emerged! The background was oxidized to highlight the delicate flowers. The pendant was then tumbled for strength and shine and hand polished. Since the final item made with PMC is 99.9% silver (also known as fine silver), it is more tarnish-resistant than sterling.
Each pendant will vary slightly from the one shown, adding to the charm and unique nature of your piece. A short word or initial can be etched on the back.
