Turquoise and Samara

This large leaf maple seed pod (samara) is made from fine silver clay. The original pod was burned out in the firing, leaving the exact relief in silver. I have added a round, 8mm turquoise, bezel set, and hung it from a soldered jumpring. The samara has been given a light patina to really show off the veining texture, and adds an almost golden hue. The pendant in 1.5" long and hangs from a 16.5" sterling chain, which closes with a handmade hook clasp.
