My signature thread inlay is cocooned inside a polymer clay shell & strung onto a beaded necklace strand. The shell is made from polymer clay using a variation of the mokume gane technique, no paints were used to enhance the surface or design. Inside the shell is a layered version of my thread inlay, using two colors of thread to create depth. The inlay has been treated & is water resistant, which means the occasional rendezvous with water will not harm the pendant (complete submersion is not deadly but should be avoided). The necklace strand is composed of a bead mixture & finished with a toggle clasp.
