Game Type: card game for 2-4 players
Includes: 24 game cards, rules, alphabet chart, and a bonus skill sheet
Learning the alphabet is an exciting time in a young child’s life. There are many theories about the best way to teach the alphabet but almost all agree on two things: the alphabet should be taught in pieces, and picture association can help with memorizing letter names and sounds. We feel that a group of 6-7 letters is a manageable amount to learn at one time. In all of our alphabet games, you will see the same pictures continually repeated. We do this as another tool for helping your child learn the alphabet. The seven letters he learns in this game will already help him identify several simple words such as map, pat, sat, lap, etc.
Alphabet Fish focuses on the same seven letters taught in the Fill the Mailbox and Yikes games, this time including both capital and lowercase letters.
Alphabet Fish is an exciting card game where the goal is to quickly identify and match letter cards. The winner is the player who makes the most matches of capital/lowercase letters.
This game includes 24 colorful game cards and directions for play. All of our alphabet games come with a complimentary alphabet chart that can be used for reference or even printed large as a poster!
As an extra bonus, the Alphabet Fish game includes a special skill sheet to give your child extra practice with the letters taught in this game.
After downloading and printing the file, it will be quick and easy to prepare this game for use. You may print as many sets as your family or class requires, but please don’t make copies to share with others. Laminating your game will help it last longer.
Keep in mind that each printer is different and the colors your printer uses may vary slightly from what you see on our photos or the files.
