Olive Oyl high-waisted pencil skirt upcycled from authentic sailor pants

I took a pair of VINTAGE (60's era) navy blue wool sailor pants and spent many hours converting it into this stunning high-waisted pencil skirt. It's a good thing I have another pair of the pants, because otherwise I'd be tempted to keep it!

Please remember that this skirt is made of wool- it's quite heavy and must be hand washed in cool water.

It's got:
♠ 14 button front flap with anchor buttons
♣ back zip closure with button tab
♥ pleated hem with red + white striped inserts
♦ retro, curve-hugging fit
